“Obzokee”- a reliable source to find online jobs

Posted by youlki22 on May 23, 2008

There are millions of sites which offer online jobs or work at home opportunities, but most of them are not reliable. I have been using internet for search and my aim was to look for “work at home” or “Online job” offers, and I found most of the sites scams or fraud which were promising work at home opprotunities. About online jobs, yes I found some very reliable sources and links, and my first online earning was from an online job.

If you are also an online job hunter then just go for Craiglist and search the jobs in your experience line.

Obzokee is one of the sites which makes it easy to find online jobs. It is from Chris De La Rosa who is an Internet Entrepreneur from Cananda. He is Dir of Operations for Genuine jobs.
He himself is working from home for the past 7 years.

The site is created to help people looking for work at home or telecommuting opportunities.

I have been a subscriber of the newsletter for Genuine jobs and get the latest offers at my inbox. Same way you can subscribe to their list, which is sent after some days to every subscriber.

Do you work for more than 2 hours at computer?

Posted by youlki22 on February 28, 2008

If you spend 2 or more than two hours at a computer every day, then you are at greatest risk for developing “Computer Vision Syndrome”(CVS)

But how to know that you are having the CVS?
Well The American Optometric Association provides the answer of this question.

Computer Vision Syndrome describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer use. Many individuals experience eye discomfort and vision problems when viewing a computer screen for extended periods. The level of discomfort appears to increase with the amount of computer use.

The most common symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) are

- eyestrain
- headaches
- blurred vision
- dry eyes
- neck and shoulder pain
These symptoms may be caused by:

- poor lighting
- glare on the computer screen
- improper viewing distances
- poor seating posture
- uncorrected vision problems
- a combination of these factors
Many of the visual symptoms experienced by computer users are only temporary and will decline after stopping computer work. However, some individuals may experience continued reduced visual abilities, such as blurred distance vision, even after stopping work at a computer. If nothing is done to address the cause of the problem, the symptoms will continue to recur and perhaps worsen with future computer use.

Prevention or reduction of the vision problems associated with Computer Vision Syndrome involves taking steps to control lighting and glare on the computer screen, establishing proper working distances and posture for computer viewing, and assuring that even minor vision problems are properly corrected.

How it can be treated?
CVS can usually be alleviated by obtaining regular eye care and making changes in how you view the computer screen.
Eyeglasses or contact lenses prescribed for general use may not be adequate for computer work. Lenses prescribed to meet the unique visual demands of computer viewing may be needed. Special lens designs, lens powers or lens tints or coatings may help to maximize visual abilities and comfort.

Some computer users experience problems with eye focusing or eye coordination that can’t be adequately corrected with eyeglasses or contact lenses. A program of vision therapy may be needed to treat these specific problems. Vision therapy, also called visual training, is a structured program of visual activities prescribed to improve visual abilities. It trains the eyes and brain to work together more effectively. These eye exercises help remediate deficiencies in eye movement, eye focusing and eye teaming and reinforce the eye-brain connection. Treatment may include office-based as well as home training procedures.
Viewing the Computer

Proper body positioning for computer use. Some important factors in preventing or reducing the symptoms of CVS have to do with the computer and how it is used. This includes lighting conditions, chair comfort, location of reference materials, position of the monitor, and the use of rest breaks.

Location of computer screen - Most people find it more comfortable to view a computer when the eyes are looking downward. Optimally, the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level (about 4 or 5 inches) as measured from the center of the screen and 20 to 28 inches from the eyes.

Reference materials - These materials should be located above the keyboard and below the monitor. If this is not possible, a document holder can be used beside the monitor. The goal is to position the documents so you do not need to move your head to look from the document to the screen.

Lighting - Position the computer screen to avoid glare, particularly from overhead lighting or windows. Use blinds or drapes on windows and replace the light bulbs in desk lamps with bulbs of lower wattage.

Anti-glare screens - If there is no way to minimize glare from light sources, consider using a screen glare filter. These filters decrease the amount of light reflected from the screen.

Seating position - Chairs should be comfortably padded and conform to the body. Chair height should be adjusted so your feet rest flat on the floor. If your chair has arms, they should be adjusted to provide arm support while you are typing. Your wrists shouldn’t rest on the keyboard when typing.

Rest breaks - To prevent eyestrain, try to rest your eyes when using the computer for long periods. Rest your eyes for 15 minutes after two hours of continuous computer use. Also, for every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look into the distance for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus.

Blinking - To minimize your chances of developing dry eye when using a computer, make an effort to blink frequently. Blinking keeps the front surface of your eye moist.
Regular eye examinations and proper viewing habits can help to prevent or reduce the development of the symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome.

“Online eSignature” service!

Posted by youlki22 on February 17, 2008

Internet has become a quick document transaction medium. There are a lot of documents which need your signature, and the signature which is sent by e-mail or other file sharing method is called e-signature. Esignature not only saves your printing, scanning and faxing related charges, but it saves your time.
Middlepost is a utility which enables you to get other person’s esignature.
“Middle post” is located in San Francisco, California.

How it works?
You need to upload a document, invite other collaborators (as many as you want) to sign, approve, or observe, and when the document has been signed and or approved, it is done.

According to ESIGN Act of year 2000, it says” that a contract or signature “may not be denied legal effect, validity, or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form”.
This statement explains that electronic signatures and records are just as good as their paper equivalent, and therefore subject to the same legal scrutiny of authenticity that applies to paper documents.

* It not only provides you esign facility but it works like an easy filing cabinet, where you may search through as many files, as you wish.
* You may track the document progress in real time.
* Site is offering a free trial which allows you to send 5 documents per month for FREE.
* Their blog provides many useful posts about latest news.

Are you an internet addict?

Posted by youlki22 on January 19, 2008

If you are one of the persons who love to spend hours browsing at internet? In case internet connection fails, you lose interest in other activities. Then may be you are one of the internet addicts. But is it an addiction and,
is it a serious matter?

YES–

According to the Stanford University School of Medicine Study, 1 out of 8 Americans suffer from Internet Addiction, 14% of respondents found it hard to abstain from Internet use for several days; 5.9% said excessive Internet use affected their relationships; 8.2% said the Internet was a means of escape from the real world.

What is internet addiction?
Internet addiction is currently classified by mental health professionals as an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), a mild to severe mental health condition that results in an urge to engage in ritualistic thoughts and behavior, such as excessive hand washing or, in the case of the Internet, Web surfing.

Another definition: “Internet addiction disorder,” a pathological condition that can lead to anxiety and severe depression.

A senior (psychiatrist) lecturer at Tel Aviv University, Dr. Pinhas Dannon is known worldwide for work in the area of gambling and addiction, a major research focus for him since 1995. He groups internet addiction with other extreme addictive disorders such as gambling, sex addiction and kleptomania.
Two groups are at greatest risk from Internet addiction disorder, Dr. Dannon warns. The first are teenagers. But more surprisingly, the second are women and men in their mid-50s suffering from the loneliness of an “empty nest.” The symptoms of Internet addiction in both groups are vague and are often difficult to diagnose. Sufferers may experience loss of sleep, anxiety when not online, isolation from family and peer groups, loss of work, and periods of deep depression.

Treatment:

Treating Internet addiction can only be done effectively, believes Dr. Dannon, if the condition is treated like any other extreme and menacing addiction. For example, a clinician could use talk therapy or prescribe medication such as Serotonin blockers and Naltrexone, which are also effective against kleptomania and pathological gambling. No less important, Dr. Dannon stresses, is that mental health practitioners in schools and workplaces should be made aware of the risks of Internet addiction.

Dr. Dannon and his colleagues have recently reported their findings in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology; and have since waged a mini-campaign around the world to warn doctors about the dangers associated with excessive Internet use.
