Sites with weired or strange facts!

A visitor requested me to write about continental facts in response of my post about “fascinating facts”, so this post would take you to some sites or links about weired of strange facts. I try my bestto provide you the sites with FREE but rich content. First I browse the site and then select it for my post. Hope you enjoy my ramblings around the world wide web.

1- This is true is a weekly newspaper colums since June 1994. It is from Colorado humorist “Randy Cassingham”.
True reports on weird-but-true news items from legitimate newspapers from around the world. Each story ends with commentary by Randy — a tagline which is humorous, ironic or opinionated. You can subscribe it for FREE. Just enter your e-mail address at the home page.

2- The site says : Strange facts.com is a great place to waste some time when you are bored.

It is full of funny and useless facts that you might actually find quite useful. There is a funny or interesting fact for just about anything here. You can use these facts to impress your friends, or maybe you are just bored and you need to entertain yourself by learning something you really had no reason to know.
There is a selection of funny videos, including strange picture of the day.
3- Amusing facts.com provides you facts on many topics.
- Detailed Fact Articles page provides you with more than 580 articles on different topics. You can search by looking and clicking at the catagory you like.
I searched for brain bits link and found very interesting facts like:

-The longest living cells in the body are brain cells, which can last a lifetime.
-A human brain comprises only 2% of the body, yet it uses 20% of the oxygen and blood.

4- Great facts says that it provides you the most interesting and unusual facts on the net.

5- Hemmy.net is a blog providing you varied interesting posts for everyone. There are some strange fact posts at the blog.

6- Interesting facts provides you facts in many catagories. There are a lot of amazing, funny, science and interesting facts.
I checked amazing facts page and found many facts, some are:
-If you part your hair on the right side, you were born to be carnivorous. If you part it on the left, your physical and psychological make-up is that of a vegetarian.
- Until 1978, Camel cigarettes contained minute particles of real camels
- You can actually sharpen the blades on a pencil sharpener by wrapping your pencils in aluminum foil before inserting them.
- A team of University of Virginia researchers released a study promoting the practice of picking one’s nose, claiming that the health benefits of keeping nasal passages free from infectious blockages far outweigh the negative social connotations.

7- Unsolved Mysteries is the place where people can share mysterious stories, discussions, poems, humor and other interesting items. The stories can then be read people by round the world and they can leave their own comments about the stories. This creates a way for others to get feed back on the stores that they enter. Entering stories, comments or participating in chat is FREE. You must have an account to enter stories or participate in chat.

8- Interesting facts.orgwas created to represent something similar to Wikipedia, but offering “QUALITY” interesting facts about anything that can tickle your brain. They conduct research for valid source to verify submitted fact. Valid source is trustworthy book, website, television program or magazine. Some of the valid sources are: Discovery Channel, BBC, NASA website or CNN.com.
9- Hooked on facts is the internet’s first fact engine which generated thousands of random interesting facts.
