Creating word press blog-My experiece
Posted by youlki22 on October 25, 2007
Creating a blog with free “wordPress” seems a bit difficult, as you have to learn a lot, if you are not a tech or IT person.
But if you have passion for learning and blogging, you would enjoy blogging with “word press” rather than “blogger”. At the bottom of this post, I have given all useful resources and links which can be a great help in creating, updating or promotion of your “wordPress“
blog.
As I have blogs with “blogger” and “WordPress” both at a time, my experiece with “WordPress” was exciting, as there is a lot of stuff to learn and there is possiblity of creativity and updating your blog, so it doesn’t look like other hundreds of blogs with the same theme or pattern. I was really scared with I looked at wordPress blogs, because I had some experience working with blogging networks, where they provide every possible guidance to start a blog. I started my first blog with “writing up” using “drupal”, 2 years ago.
After continueing with my blog at “writing up” (Unfortunately the network is not working now) for about one year, I realized that I was doing well, as my blog was on google page rank 4/10. When this blogging network started going down, I decided to join another network with “wordPress”, and reason behind choosing that network was that I was getting news about popularity of “wordPress” and I wanted to learn it.
Again my journey with “wordPress” blog was a success, as blogging network provided me with theme, space and rest of the work I had to do. Within 6 months, I could get a google page rank 5/10, but as there was not a return of my hard work I had to quit that blog.
Before going to further details, let’s have a look at definition of “wordPress”
Wikipediasays:
“WordPress.com is a free WordPress-powered weblog hosting from company Automattic. It opened to beta testers on August 8, 2005 and opened to the public on November 21, 2005. It runs WordPress MU, a version of the original software that allows people to create and manage their own weblogs without requiring the time, money and technical knowledge involved in setting up WordPress on an ordinary hosting account.”All the basic and original features of the site are free-to-use, and will remain so in future
This blog is totally my own effort based creation. And the response I am getting is amazing and encouraging. Now on the basis of my experience I am providing some helpful links, resources which helped me a lot to learn and update my blog.

A lot of people are intimidated, so thank you for your kind words describing how much I’ve helped and how easy I make it to blog with WordPress. It’s very important to me that people get past the installation and techie bit and get to the blogging. After all, it isn’t about looks, it’s about what you have to say and how you say it that really counts.
