Most of the bloggers know this name very well ““Technorati”” but many of us don’t know what exactly technorati is and how we can use it in blog promotion. This post is informative as well as useful to provide you links and resources to get most from “Technorati”
Technorati is the recognized authority on what happens on the blogsphere, it searches,surfaces and organizes the blogs. To get exposure of your blog, you have to submit your blog to technorati, but it doesn’t end here, there is a lot more to get from technorati.
What is Technorati?
Technorati is an internet search engine for searching blogs. According to Wikipedia:
“Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs, competing with Google, Yahoo and IceRocket. As of August 2007, Technorati indexes over 94 million weblogs. The name Technorati is a portmanteau, pointing to the technological version of literati or intellectuals.Technorati was founded by Dave Sifry and its headquarters are in San Francisco, California, USA. The site won the SXSW 2006 awards for Best Technical Achievement and also Best of Show. It was also nominated for a 2006 Webby award for Best Practices.”
